Good question, kind of a matter of taste. I think a young and uninjured Kariya was just a little better than a young and uninjured Bure, but it was close. Bure remained a top-tier player for a little longer, but Bure is also one of the few superstars who had even less saying power than Kariya after 30. It’s a coin flip between them imo.

94 bure clears Kariya peak easily.
for one, this isnt about just "peak"

second, easily? no.

93-94 Bure
60G 107P (T-5th in scoring)
vs
95-96 Kariya
50G 108P (T-7th in scoring)

similar GPG avg

99-00 was probably Bure's his peak anyway
58G 94P in 74GP
2nd in scoring, 2 points behind Jagr.... in a MUCH lower scoring year (5.5 vs 6.5 GPG avg)

Bure used to play like 30 min a night in florida and just waiting at the blue line

LOL

76 goals in 100 games
Vs
50 goals on 82 games

That clears rather easily in your season comp.

I’d say Kariya’s best year was 96-97, when he was 2nd in Hart voting and 3rd in points despite playing only 69 games.

Kariya is my third favorite player ever (behind Roy and Lemieux) and because of him I was a Ducks fan for a Time, before coming back home to the Habs
The stuff he did with Selanne on a nightly basis was incredible for my young eyes at the time

I voted for him

I have to say tho, Bure was a f***ing machine and might be the right answer

2 seasons?????
Playoffs isn’t a new season

Not that difficult to grasp
ok, did you miss the 2nd part?.... Why was Bure only 12th in Hart voting in 93-94 while Kariya was 2nd in 96-97.... yknow since Bure's peak so "EASILY" clears Kariya's?

mustve been too difficult for you to grasp

waiting....

Ohh so you’ve switched seasons after you original argument fell flat

Leading the league in goals
Then leading the league in playoff goals

How was Kariya’s best season including playoffs

Go ahead I’ll wait
