They had a good offseason, that Pesce deal might turn sour one day but I don't know if there was a single team that made more changes to the roster than them and literally everything they did looks good so far

Pesce is teaching Luke Hughes how to be a proper NHL dman, which is going to make even the sour years worth it in the end

both have been great, that said any conversation about those two and the devils underated secondary scoring must include the name Erik Haula.

Talk about underated...Haula's contribution to the third line and the devils possession game has been nothing short of spectacular. To me, Haula is the guy that stirs the drink on the third line...
Just admit you've been sneaking around the Devils Meme Bank.

Stefan Noesen now has 18 goals!

He looked like a borderline NHL player not that long ago to now being a solid NHL forward the last 3 seasons after his huge year in the AHL.
I thought someone was going to bump this thread to talk about how much they cooled down but Noesen has been great for us. He did mind of break into the NHL with the Devils so it was good to bring him back.

Cotter started really hot for us. I thought he could of possibly been a 2nd line player and have a 50 to 60 point season but his goal scoring went cold. He's been better the last 8 games or so but is more 3rd/4th liner. Noesen can play in the top 6 but he has been lights out on the powerplay. He plays the net front presence quite well.

...big, smart kid that goes to the net and has surprisingly soft hands...guys like Slafkovsky and Knies need to pay attention...

From a neutral fan perspective I liked both as pickups for the Devils, glad to see they have played well so far
