Paul Byron, the gift that keeps on giving. Already has 9 goals (and 5 assists) in 23 games. He seems to be getting better and better. Over 82 games, he would be on pace for 32 goals this year. I'm not saying he would hit that, but I wouldn't be surprised if he hit 25 goals this year if he stays healthy. What's even better regarding his goal scoring, is that 60 of the 62 goals he scored with us since we picked him off of waivers have been scored at regular strength. He gets almost no power play time.
He's worth every penny of his 4 year X 3.4 million dollar contract. I don't think this hurts his trade value at all. In fact, it probably helps that he's locked into a cap friendly deal, especially if he scores 20+ goals for a 3rd year in a row.
