Nobodys mother or wife was being harassed. The bar owner was in the process of kicking out unruly guests. Literally a daily occurrence for people in the service industry.

From the sounds of it, the bar owner was in the process of kicking out drunken guests, and one of the guests began assaulting him. So Biz stepped in to stop that.

The bar was outnumbered 6-1 and was being harassed. Take the mother or wife out of the equation and insert your father, brother, whatever and you still wouldn't expect/hope someone to help in that situation?

Would I want my brother, who is a father and a husband, to step in, risking possibly his life, to help a restaurant manager dealing with a drunk guest? You don't think the manager and the establishment are equipped to deal with unruly guests?

I would call my brother an idiot if he did something like biz did.

$10 on the "Just stay out of it!" folks are also the people who pull out their cell phones to record it all.
You ever see one of your buddies get the everliving f*** beat out of him? Not fun. I'd suggest avoiding it at all costs.

So what is the bar owner going to do tomorrow when biz isn't there to help him out?

Good to see his question sailed right over your head... He was pretty clearly asking you to put your brother in the restaurant manager's position. Not Biz's.

What I'm hearing is that you watched your buddy get the everliving f*** beat out of him and didn't help him.

... Which tells me a lot about how good of a buddy you are.

Well, hopefully he won’t be in that situation again. If it’s a frequent occurrence, he might want to reconsider how much alcohol he’s serving the patrons of his family restaurant. Or hire security whose job is to handle customers like that.

The people saying he should mind his own business should continue to stay online and have no friends. He said he visited this place 3 to 4 times a week and is friends with the staff. If you won't stick up with your friends you are an absolute zero. Keep that post count and karma up online though.

Biz is a massive winner here. 6 on 1 and doesn't have a scratch. Stood up for his friends and has celebs in his mentions giving him props. Being a good person wins again.

As someone who works in a bar, and has had to kick people out (and been assaulted while doing so) good on Biz for standing up for the employees. Most people (understandably) would stand around and watch the drunks act like idiots.

Takes a real man to square up with 7 dudes.

I don't disagree with any of this but Jesus I don't get how people can go to a bar 3-4 times a week.

Or at least, the same bar.

Biz is rich and is on the road a lot. He's probably not going to Wholefoods on Sunday to reload on chicken breasts.

I mean on the road a lot would suggest you can't go to the same place 3-4 times a week lol.

And rich people don't go to Whole Foods. They have somebody go to Whole Foods for them.

You are literally being a keyboard warrior right now. Relax.
Buddy, you're the guy who volunteered that you've watched a friend get the "Everliving f*** beat out of him" and thus passively admitted that you didn't help.

Sure, I'm a keyboard warrior. Beats being a coward though...

Some weird takes in this thread, I'd agree that it's probably not the smart thing to do putting yourself at risk, but you've gotta respect his willingness. Not that everyone questioning the smarts of it is bashing him, but my first reaction (and lasting impression) would be to tip my hat for his intentions rather than go "what an idiot". Biz rubs me the wrong way too but you've gotta hand it to him here.
