Bissonette needs to calm down and mind his own business, that's what happens when you're ego takes over. Lol
More people need to challenge shitty behaviour, there are certain people who think they can do what ever they want because their behaviour has never been challenged by their parents, their peers or the wider public. Unfortunately this is their response when told ‘no’, it’s so unusual for them they strike out.

just when you thought hockey was dead in Arizona
Most exciting hockey play in Arizona in years 🤣

Oh damn, that's not gutsy at all. Quite cowardly.
It's the way of some type of persons..and drunk golfers are some of the worst. I recall seeing a video recently of one hitting another's head with a driver not long ago

Reminds me of the time our buddy who’s like 5’8 150 on a good day got cornered by 5guys at a bar because one of them was feeling up his girlfriend. She called our other buddy, we came running over just in time to watch our small buddy pummel a guy and we scattered his buddies before our friend got hurt.

There’s nothing more cowardly than this from these losers and I hope the courts are very tough on them. We need to call out bad behavior if we want our society to continue to be good or improve

This is why you never intervene in these situations, it's an immediate escalation to violence with men involved. Hopefully the owner learns from this experience and buys a gun.

Ah yes, because historically, pulling out a gun really calms the situation down and does not in any way make the situation 1000x deadlier. And I’m sure the patrons of a FAMILY restaurant would love to have a firearm added to a tense situation.

I love the people clutching pearls like this is some new phenomenon. Stuff like this happens daily across the world. This only got publicity because it was a sports personality involved. There are douchebags in society news at 11. It's not great but don't pretend you didn't see fights and people being harassed when you were at the bar.

Personally, I'd feel safer knowing a responsible gun owner was nearby. If Canada had open or concealed carry laws, I'd be strapped today. Knowing someone might be armed settles a lot of people down.

I don't think it's pearl clutching to want to discuss and denounce 6 guys ganging up on one guy for trying to defend someone. That's how regular humans react.

Totally. It also puts guns in the hands of those who aren't as good at settling down, but that's ok, we just need to have some bigger guns to help them settle down a bit better.

Those people have guns already and by definition not a responsible gun owner (which is what I referred to). I would think a restaurant owner is highly likely to be a responsible gun owner.

Anyways, don't be a hero kids. Call the cops, dont get involved. Unless these guys were in the process of physically assaulting someone else, which I don't think they were.

Edit: watched biz' tweet. Guys were scumbags.

Still guys, really think about getting involved in stuff like this. I remember hearing this story about this young guy in the town I used to live in. He was in competitive bodybuilding, nice guy, had a career, fiancée etc.

Similar situation he tried being a peacemaker at a bar. Gets jumped outside and gets the everloving crap beat out of him. Kicked in the head while unconscious etc. Suffered life altering injuries from it.

Biz tried to be the hero and good on him for stepping up but he's very, very lucky he didn't get it worse than what he did. Check your ego and be careful.

Except a responsible gun owner would know there’s a time and place to pull out their weapon. A crowded restaurant when facing down 6-to-1 odds against drunken idiots is not the time or place. Too high of a risk towards bystanders, too low of a chance that pulling a gun does anything to deter the drunken mind, and too high of a chance the gun ends up in untrained hands.

I hope these guys enjoy picking up soap in communal showers

The current climate seems ripe for increasing douchebaggery unfortunately

And they will, repeatedly, in jail. They won’t be in their little group of six on one. They will be picking up soap.

Best we can hope for in the US justice system in 2024 is they gotta be careful bending over to pick up trash on the highway.

We hand out probationary sentences like candy.

If someone was harassing your mother, you'd want bystanders to just ignore it and mind their own business? Someone attacks your wife's... just ignore it?
Nobodys mother or wife was being harassed. The bar owner was in the process of kicking out unruly guests. Literally a daily occurrence for people in the service industry.

Yes, also stealing is OK as long as it's valued under $350 as well...slap on the wrist misdemeanor and back on the street in 5 hours if caught...then act all irate and throw racism accusations around when Walgreens has had enough and decides to fold up shop at locations that are losing their shirts. What a time to be alive.
