Patriots/NFL Patriots hiring Mike Vrabel, a franchise Hall of Famer, as head coach

Like Vrabel going to go with two former head coaches as coordinators

McDaniels track record and familiarity make this decision the biggest no brainer on erfff

Just feels like the same old same old they hasitily rushed the interviews just to bring in someone familiar.

Id love someone outside the organization with fresh ideas and takes
I mean, Vrabel was traded in 2009 and hasn’t been part of the organization in any capacity since. He coached in college and with the Texans before his head coaching job. He has literally nothing to do with Belichick’s coaching tree. He is from outside the organization

As far as the fans go. I find most New England fans (particularly the younger ones) to be very entitled and reactionary. I could care less if the fans like Wolf as long as he brings something to the table behind the scenes.
Maybe but I think most can handle a necessary, proper rebuild. What people rightfully can't accept is the complete dysfunctional incompetence we have seen since Tom Brady bolted.

And I’m pretty sure I addressed the “complete dysfunctional incompetence” part in my post above what you quoted.

Bill Belichick is the GOAT coach imo, but the amount of control he exerted over the franchise for 20+ years is no longer sustainable in the modern NFL.

I think the lack of infrastructure and support (due to BB wanting control) hurt the Patriots in the scouting, drafting, coaching and pro personnel areas. Brady masked some of that stuff, but when he left it became more apparent.

Right now the Pats are a mess. I think Vrabel is a good start to begin building the culture, but they have a lot of work to do.

Truly comical how much better Jalen McMillan is than Polk

#EliotWolfPack
I really hope social media and sports-yak radio keep up the relentless skewering of Eliot Wolf to the point where Krafty Bob has to put him in witness protection.

I’m sure we can run him out of town if we try hard enough.

Except it was Belichick, not Kraft that was responsible for doing this stuff. Under Bill, the Pats typically had one of the smaller staffs in the NFL. The rumor was that he was given X amount for the coaching staff salaries and any extra went back to him.

Unsure if that is true or it was just BB’s dislike of coaches outside his circle of trust? Either way, he was the one that brought Patricia and Judge back while they were still being paid by other organizations. Followed that up by not giving them titles (so they retained their HC salaries) and assigning them to positions they had no experience coaching.
So Kraft hiring Mayo as HC had nothing to do with avoiding paying him his buyout clause? So the patriots player and family facilities being rated amongst the worst 3 in the NFL had nothing to do with the Krafts? The fact that the Patriots have been amongst the lowest spending teams overall in the league has nothing to do with the Krafts.. it was all Belichick? News to me, thanks for enlightening me.
