Patriots/NFL Patriots hiring Mike Vrabel, a franchise Hall of Famer, as head coach

Honestly AVP didn’t have much of a chance with what Wolf gave him on the offensive line, feel more badly for him than anybody else

He was one guy that I was ok with giving another year. With arguably a worse roster than last season and a rookie QB....

So under AVP they had nearly identical passing yards, a few more passing TD's (again with mostly a rookie QB). They had more rushing yards and few more rushing TD's while allowing 4 more sacks.

Is Covington gone too? Or has that not been announced yet?

You don't really need to bother with firing assistant coaches at this point. The new coach will pick their own staff, so it's up to them on who stays and who goes. Also saves you money to not fire them and just hope they leave on their own for a new job.

Can someone explain to me what is so special about Wolf? What has this guy done? He came in and was the director of scouting for 2 years and has been in his current role the last two years.
I wish I could. He doesn't deserve his job either.

Did absolutely nothing to improve OL, botched WR pick and signing Osborne. Was already on staff with Belichick. There is zero need for Wolf to be here. My hope is they are either hiring someone above him or leaving his fate to whoever they pick as coach (Vrabel).

Fair point

he’s a terrible human but if the patriots traded for tyreek hill i think drake would throw 60 touchdowns next year

I don't think he was qualified to be a HC in the first place. I get the sympathy, but Jerrod needed to step back from his "player" mentality. They clearly shouldn't have even tried today, winning cost them a plethora of future draft capital. Had they landed the 1st OA, they could have traded and still remained in the top 10, as well as gained 1-2 extra 1sts, as well as a 2nd and maybe a 3rd.

I have sympathy for the situation he was placed in, but he did absolutely nothing to help his cause to remain a HC. Had they lost today like they should have, he would still be the HC,

I saw a random mock where picks 4-8 are

Mason Graham
Travis Hunter
Will Johnson
Will Campbell
Luther Burden

This team is so bad I would welcome any of them.

I always get a chuckle out of professional athletes saying they have to do what's best for their family and it's never about anything serious.

He's Ron Wolf's son. That's about it. If his name was Eliot Hapablap, he'd probably be an accountant right now.....No way he'd be working in the NFL.

You really have to try hard to screw up the #4 pick.

Its the picks in the 2nd-6th rounds that Pats fans should be worried about. That's where NFL rosters are built.

The idea of Mason Graham with Barmore (hopefully) or Gonzalez and Will Johnson has me intrigued

So many holes to fill.
