Lazy narrative. Leafs cap situation is going to be very open in 2/3 years. Leafs only have Jankrok & Rielly signed past 2024/2025.

If they wanted to fit in Laine they could do it, but they very likely won't.

they've allowed the 7th fewest goals while playing their 3rd stringer for a bunch of games. They're better at preventing goals than scoring them this year

Makes perfect sense to me. Leafs are already stacked on D and in net but are clearly lacking in high quality expensive forwards.
