There'd have to be some very, very strong motivation for the Jackets to do this. Kekalainen loves him, and he's repeatedly reported loving it here with a heck of a lot more enthusiasm than he ever showed in Winnipeg (no offense intended to Jets fans; apologies in advance if it comes across that way).

Lazy narrative. Leafs cap situation is going to be very open in 2/3 years. Leafs only have Jankrok & Rielly signed past 2024/2025.

If they wanted to fit in Laine they could do it, but they very likely won't.

Seems like one of the least likely destinations if the Jackets moved Laine.
Poorly thought out suggestion.

I admire the Leafs commitment to emulating the Oilers successful game of just grabbing a bunch of high priced goal scorers while neglecting… well everything else.

Hey 'lumbus fans, while you're here, what would it take from the Habs to get Roslovic from you guys? Would a couple of prospects do the trick? Dunno what you guys value him at this season.

Howsabout Mysak and Norlinder?

Overlooking cap issues, the most the Leafs would pay for him would be a 3rd and that's about it. The guy is a dumpster fire.

they've allowed the 7th fewest goals while playing their 3rd stringer for a bunch of games. They're better at preventing goals than scoring them this year

Unless it’s for a swap with Nylander because we likely won’t be able to re-sign him what benefit does adding another expensive mainly soft forward do for the leafs?
