I think they will keep Condotta, he's doing a better job as the 4th line center then Dvorak was.
Pezz is probably getting waived.

Habs might be hoping Dach is out of his funk by the time Laine comes back. But Newhook might be the one demoted to run CC/Evans/Laine. Dvorak should be moved, but I don't expect HuGo to do so until the deadline.
I'd be fine with either Dvo or Evans on the second line with Dach. I have it:

Laine - Suzuki - Slaf
Caufield - Dvo/Evans - Dach
Gallagher - Evans/Dvo - Anderson
Armia - Newhook - Roy/Heineman/RHP/Condotta

"But crush them by injuring Suzuki for the rest of the year."

I really like the top line you have, but I think with Laine's ability to run a line, you have to spread things out. I think I would go something like this, with Newhook and Dach switching spots if need be.

Caufield - Suzuki - Slaf
Laine - Evans - Newhook
Gallagher - Dach - Anderson
Armia - Condotta - Heineman/ RHP

- If Dach can play center, I'd like at least to see Dvo on his wing, or Evan's, to take the draws.

- I haven't liked Newhook on the wing this year. But I haven't been able watch much this year. Last Newhook at C with Armia on his wing was a good combo. I think that duo could form a good 2nd bottom six line, along with the Gally-Anderson duo.

- But yeah it may be good to keep Condotta and Heineman on the 4th line.

try that for a game.

I would be interested to see what Newhook looks like playing with Gallagher, think they could compliment each other.

Anderson's IQ with Laine could be an issue, but they could be a good line on the forecheck. Dach has the IQ to play with Laine, and maybe Laine could be the one that helps Dach at C.

Nice to have options either way.

Leave Anderson where he is on 3rd line / PK role that’s what he’s best at not top-6 role.

Newhook - Dach - Laine and see if Laine’s skill injection will help the other two

I'm open to trying everything and seeing what works. You don't know how a combination will work, until you try it. I like Anderson's role with Gallagher, but options are options.

Yes! Put Caufield back on the first line FFS! Let Laine and Dach and whoever do some 10-11 minutes per game to get back into it (for both). Sit Dvorak when Laine's back and put Evans with Gally and Donkey. Voila! We've got the winning formula. Not so hard, is it, Ken?
