Laine 2 games, 2 goals with Habs.

Better health for him at this moment of his career. Better environment than his ex teams like Winnipeg and Columbus.

Do you think it's going to be a redemption for this guy?

He have elite talent, for sure and only 26 years old.

No, Montreal is playing him on the 2nd line. He'll score most if not pretty much all of his goals on the powerplay. Stick him with Zuzuki and Caufield if you want to see him do as good as possible...

Redemption? Why do we have to word the polls like that. He has always been really good if not elite.
He used to be really good until December 2018 when Paul Maurice and Winnipeg management sandbagged him by trying to turn him into a 2way player. Before that Laine had 101 goals in 179 games. After that he had 103 goals in 301 games before debuting with the Canadiens. So he dropped from 0.56 goals/game to 0.34 goals/game in a timeperiod when every other young player usually turns into much better goal scorers. You can clearly talk about redemtion when it comes to Laine!

How dare he try and make him play the game the right way.

He reminds me of kovalev where he plays better with an active crowd.

Probably hits 70 goals next year. 60 at home, 10 on the road.
70 goals! Has anyone done that yet?

When you score the way Laine scored up until the end of November 2018 you don't need to learn anything else.

Matthews had 70 goals during a 82 game stretch not long ago...

Best shot in the league. Never seen anyone hold the puck for five seconds and beat goalies clean with no screen and all the time in the world for them to set up.

Redemption is for someone who is morally corrupt who wants to better themselves

Laine is a hockey player, and a pretty good one when healthy. He will bounce back but there isnt anything to redeem as he has never hurt any one while being in the NHL

I can't help but feel like games against NYI and NSH, and both goals being on the PP, and one on a 5-on-3 might not be the best indicator of future success.

Considering how ass Montreal's powerplay has been for the last few years, having one of the best powerplay merchants in the league isn't a bad thing for them.
