People will complain that Laine has defensive weakness and not always commit at 100%. Are the same people will complain about Montreal score no goals. I know it's fun to have a player like suzuki. All around. Good physicality, Good defensively, good offensively, good leadership. But those guys are rare. Laine remains a top 6 player. It always depend how he is going to ask as money. I would sign him every day. I liked Micheal Ryder aNd Kovalev back in the days. Even if some night they were not playing at all.

I still want Laine to be better than Ryder and Hoffman, as Kovalev was.

He's got to take certain aspects of his game to another level, including his fitness and intensity.

But because the talent is clearly there, I'm rooting for him, and don't want to get rid of him. Want him, and Dach to have intense offseasons of training. And then see how they are midseason next season.

The problem with Laine is that he drags his linemates down.

8-)

He was energized by his new center and covered when he was braindead defensively.
Sorry man but no. Maybe Laine is improving as Dach did, and that would be great.

But he’s flat out sucked so far at 5 on 5 and that wasn’t the fault of Dach. Again, Dach and Newhook are five points better without him.

If he’s bouncing back from his injury- as Dach did - that’s great. But don’t try to re-write history.

Laine and Newhook get separated from Dach:
-> Laine and Newhool play a good game.

Especially Laine seems to benefit in a huge way to play with another center than Dach. Great stuff!

Its so obvious that you love your boy Dach and hate Laine. No matter how they play. You repeat the same arguments and stats again and again and again to try to make everyone believe you. No offence but your comments are starting to weigh less and less, due to your very clear bias with these guys.

Newhook is five points better without Laine?

Are you talking about the small sample size since they were separated or the entire season before and after Laine joined their line?
