Patrik Laine is in a 6-game Win-streak

Ok Patty's stats seem to support my conclusion above, check it out:

January-February:
Patty scored a goal in the game:
-> Habs won 2, lost 2 of the games.
Patty did NOT score a goal in the game:
-> Habs won 3, lost 7 of the games.

So solution to come back to 0.500 hockey for Habs is to get Laine scoring.

Suggestion: move Laine to line 1.
Suggestion: play Laine for FULL PP.
Suggestion: motivate Laine by flying all his friends to his games.

Thoughts?

Don’t forget a handy from the coach during intermissions, gotta treat Laine special.

A handshake, I mean.

What he’s paid doesn’t change his injuries, surgeries, and mental leave. He’s openly said he lost his fitness and focus. Not sure what is going to be accomplished by constantly repeating his salary.
It's never his fault is it? In Winnipeg it was everyone else's fault. Same thing in Columbus. Exact same thing seems to be happening in Montreal.

What is the one constant every time? Laine fans should wake the f*** up and realize the reality.

I'll say it once again: I would give him way more slack if he himself didn't come into the league with a very arrogant attitude. Arrogance only works if you can actually back it up. Laine hasn't been able to back it up the last 7-8 years.

I’m a Habs fan and can’t comment on the other teams or their experience with Laine.

I’m not making excuses — he was a mm away from needing surgery on his already bad knee. He chose the “conservative” treatment, which means he’s playing through the injury.

I don’t think this is a false excuse, it’s just a bad situation and he’s already out of shape. It was no secret that he was considering retirement and was not staying in professional fitness mode.

Regardless, I want him to do well for the sake of the Habs and our big picture. I’m not a partisan for Patrik Laine.
