when things got tough, Laine quit
It's the polar opposite of that: When games does not matter, Laine quits. That's also what he said before Werenski & others took offence with no reason.

Sorry to disturb this silly feel-good thread with facts.

The loss to Columbus doesn't count because he only played a period?
Don't think it works that way. He could only play 1 shift that game, and he's credited with playing that game.
He is just Mulletmanning us.

Oh btw talking about crazy (or dedicated) Laine fans.. has Psychodad been around anywhere lately? I used to see him here a LOT but havent seen him in years I think.

Now can you imagine if Laine actually became a Leaf one day 😆 It could get pretty epic here.
He is among us, don't worry. Just with an another user name. (not me :)

well I dont know what to tell you, it happened and he's prob never going to escape it. that and his horrible attitude.
only matter of time before he becomes lazy and wants out of MTL too
he's like slightly better than PLD imo ticking time bomb
His horrible attitude for wanting to win, win and win and not accepting losing forever like CBJ management?

MTL fans pray that he will "quit" like he did with the Jets:

On 4-3 overtime win against the Flames, Laine single-handedly won both those points. AFAIK he scored 2 and had an apple *AND* fought with some Calgary guy that did hit his linemate Kyle Connor. If that's quitting, I hope Laine "quits" every single game.

Maybe some of these win-streaks had players who missed the only loss before/after the streak, and hence their win streaks continued? All Time Longest NHL Winning Streaks

Though maybe some of those players also missed some of the wins, which then would be deducted from their streaks. And of course if they missed more than half of game due to injury or sickness, like Patrik Laine in his current win-streak.

Can someone check with SDQL? Maybe we can even define a concrete "win-factor" or similar, i.e. if a specific player is an actual huge win-factor as per this stat.

That explains why he blocked the trade to Minnesota and accepted the trade to Montreal. Because winning games is his primary concern.
You are forgetting that Laine also likes challenges. Coming from the front is easy, anyone can do it. But coming from behind? Its hard. Laine likes it and thrives in that position. He starts to bang it in from all angles and usually hits the mark too. Long shots are his specialty, but he can handle his stick also in tight. Just give him a little room and he is sure to put it in.

So Patty has won 6 games in a row (he missed yesterday's Chicago-loss and played only 1 period in the previous Columbus-loss (less than half of game = does not count)).

Are there any longer win streaks currently? What's the longest win streak of an individual player in NHL-history?
Everyone on this site is now dumber for having read this post.

Conference final appearances since 2016: Patrik Laine 1 - 0 Toronto Maple Leafs
Saying they "appeared" in the conference finals is definitely stretching the term.
Is every Kaner thread about the rape charge? You're just an ass.
You openly started flaming him for his fandom for posting something that was true which played a part in Laine's departure from Winnipeg. Stop simping for that drug addict lmao

I wasn't expecting this thread to be so titillating.
Same. I feel partly responsible for it. If you meant that in a positive way then I willl certainly take some credit for it.

But in all seriousness, and to get back to thread topic: lets see if Patty can continue his win streak tonight! He needs 15 more wins to break the WR of wins in a row.

The way his shaft flexes when he really puts his body weight into it is impressive.
Yup, it looks almost illegal

So should we make a thread for every player that wins 6 games, while missing some games in between 🤣 those 6 games.

Move this thread to the habs forum or close the thread.
