I think the boiling point like arrived in the interview when he publicly trashed Duke (who isn't a goalie) and come what may of all the positivity in seeing a once unthinkable goal-scoring record broken, Roy's personal standard of competition was crossed when Sorokin and thus Roy's team was recorded in history as the team that allowed the record to be broken, even while getting the win.

I think Roy is that granular.

Doesn't make it right, but just a sense that its not about the goalies per se, moreover when your 9-2 loss to the city's rivals happens after a 7-6 in overtime in which Roy called it "a must-win"; 15 (Or 12 at the moment) goals in two games in must win situations is likely to draw out Crazy Roy.

Let's take a step back. You said he's not an NHL goalie. I said that's irrelevant. He's on the NHL roster, dressed for an NHL game. Whether he has a future in the NHL, AHL, international, or early retirement makes no difference because he's currently dressed for an NHL game.

That's a politician answer. The situation is you leave him in or not put him in the game in the first place. It's either/or.

If you ask me personally, I leave him in the game and let him finish. I don't see any harm in that. It's not going to lose the room for Roy anymore than he already has. The guy is too hot tempered to be an NHL coach.

Are you worried about Lennox's long term mental health? That's an entirely different matter and relevant to the rookie, not Roy.

Yes, the Keenan thing was a reference to "if people think it's terrible what Roy did, this was what Keenan did in between coffee breaks back in the day" in terms of saying this isn't a big deal and if people are outraged over Roy for it, it's not worth it.

Roy's a hot headed fool and does not have the emotional intelligence to be an NHL head coach. That's for a million other reasons. This isn't even in the top ten.

There are a handful of situations every year where a 4th or 5th depth goalie in an organization gets called up. He should've been left in. He's up due to injuries and is going to get some extra cash for being up with a big club all season. Great for him.

Roy was a great player, I'm sure he's wonderful to his family, and he's also an egomaniac.
