Patches for captain

Leave him at A, this type of fanbase can't handle a streaky C. Might put needless pressure on him too.

Well it's just that since given the A hes put double the effort into the game along with upping his defensive game ten fold, Truly does lead by example even in the media very humble and professional. He's forechecking constantly and you rarely see him dragging his feet, when patches isn't streaky he's a 40 goal scorer easily. Just love this guy and was defending him when people wanted to trade him for Kane, he's showing real maturity and I can see him being the captain thats all

Vanek will never play with a left winner of Patches skill, every. And Davey loves to set 'em up.

This may be his best shot to pad his stats and win a Cup.

Stay, Vanek, stay.

Give it to Prust. The man plays with everything he has every night and he won't have the media and fans hounding him because he doesn't produce enough.

Gio should get it and he should be re-signed to play on the 3rd line as I have been saying for a year now. Gio is a silent captain. He shows up in the playoffs and does not take nights off. He's also still good enough to pot a few goals.

He's just like Koivu. They don't seem to like getting so much attention from the medias.

It is pretty obvious that our next captain should be Tomas Plekanec. Consumate professional and comes to play every night.

Pacioretty IMO will be the next captain. He always addresses the media, has become an impact player and a leader on this team. Signed for several more years. As much as I respect Gionta, time to say thank you and good by after this season.

I dont mind keeping Gionta on the 3rd line for 2.5M.

If he doesn't re-sign then in that order:
Markov
Plekanec
Pacioretty
