Pat Maroon says he will retire after the season

He won three(!) Cups on top of being tied with Patrice Bergeron for 10th in playoff games in the salary cap era (163). He also suited up for six different teams who brought him in for that experience. Hell of a run for a guy who "wasn't committed" at one point.

Best of luck to him in the next chapter of his life.

Maybe it was just the luck of being in the right place in the right time but I like to think he helped give the Bolts the swagger they needed to get it done in the postseason. Always entertaining for better or worse. Wonder if he ends up working for TNT or something, lol.

My brother became a Tampa fan during the COVID playoffs in 2020 with the sole reason to piss me off. His favorite player besides maybe Kucherov is Maroon. He owns 3 different Maroon jerseys (Boston, Minnesota, and Tampa), has a Maroon T-shirt, and something related to the school bus line (shirt or poster, I forget) and has a framed picture of him on his wall lifting the Stanley Cup. In a lot of ways, I couldn't stand the guy but I've come full circle and learned to appreciate the memories his presence gave between my brother and I

I wish he came to Boston sooner. Probably would've been a fun 4th liner.

I don’t wanna hate him but he declared war on the Ducks fanbase with this one

I know if a player had Loading Facebook SDK. You will need to disable any adblocker, privacy extension, or built-in tracking protection to the Caps fanbase I'd be pretty upset too.
