The difference? The forwards aren't as solid defensively. They aren't scoring and they're not nearly as good defensively. So, we can no longer win 1-0, 2-1 games. We have to score to win. The team just isn't good if it's top players aren't always scoring. That's a lot to ask.

Not sure how people have really been pointing the finger at Lundqvist this season, aside from a game or two. Sure, he hasn't maybe been 110% as sharp as his usual inhuman self, but his stats are excellent despite the fact that the team has been pretty poor for the better part of most games this season and he simply stands on his head most nights. I mean, compared to the scoring chances we've had (doesn't count if it doesn't at least count as a shot, fyi) Winnipeg could have had 5 or 6 by now. People will complain about his rebound control or this, or that. People will, quite obviously now, complain about virtually anything, about anyone on this team, because, in NY, you're garbage if the team isn't exceeding expectations. But seriously, Lundqvist is obviously the absolute least of our problems, 99.99995% of nights.

the embrassing part is no line gives you the feeling they can score at anytime. The D is over worked the goaltending is so so and the offense is invisible. So sick of hearing he shoots blocked he shoots wide. Can this team hit the net? Sick of the soft as Sh%t twin towers of Boyle and Pyatt never seen to weaker 7 ft monsters.
