Yeah, I think he's already made the decision to trade it. And I think he's known for quite a while now. Just trying to get the package as big as it can possibly be.

See, I actually don't think there's any offer close enough and he's trying to create a sense of urgency that gets a team to up their offer. I really belie they are making the pick.

He was on the panel on NHL network and he subtly said they have a dozen defensemen in the system and a bunch who are over 6'3" and can skate. Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but it was almost like 'we don't really need this guy, so make me an offer if you really want him.'

We'll know in an hour.

That may be, but I just get the sense that Tallon does not like Ekblad/Reinhart enough to make the pick.

I certainly think he wants to trade the pick. As noted above, he very much likes the prospect depth at the D and C spots, which makes the top pick partially redundant. That said, I bet the offers just aren't good enough.

I could easily be wrong, but all this "80% to keep stuff" makes me think that he is trying to make something happen when it isn't.

So Hawks trade Sharp and his 5.9M cap hit to take on more salary including the Flyers mistake that is Grossman (I believe most of this board was not happy with his play this year)

Got my nerve centre set up:

Streaming draft through TV.

One laptop on HFboards.

One laptop free for checking twitter etc.

4 pack of Primus lager.

Some snacks.

Nervous but excited.

I got no problem with this plan.
Homer's plan to patch it up each year and pray certainly did not work.
This team is going to win based on shutting down other teams,
not out scoring them.
