Getting ideas from a kid's imagination is likely to yield better results than getting ideas from exec market research findings.

I'd agree, as long as they didn't let the kid write the movie as well.

He'd probably do a better job than a lot of Hollywood screenwriters.

Unless this executive was pushing for it the whole way - it's more like Paramount failed considering they increased the budget for this thing over and over and they approved everything that caused the budget to balloon.

I don't really think using a kids idea is that smart but it's not dumb.

Unless the kid was in the writing room calling the shots then I don't see what the big deal is.
