What an embarassing display of 3 on 3 by Boston lmfao
At fault? Marchand who didn’t cover Pietrangelo.

Flashback: 2-0 goal by Pietrangelo in SCF game 7 in Boston. Who gave up and let him waltz in unmolested? Yeah, Boston hero Marchand.

What a loser.

It is just crazy. We beat some of our nemesis teams in COL, TB, NYR, LA, VGK (twice!), and not with luck but just a consistent team play on offense and defense. Not wanting to jinx anything, but our team has never been better, I cannot imagine it getting better next year, so this year might be our best shot for going all the way.

Oh, and before I forget… that full face mask has given Barky some sort of boost. I see him faster, more willing to battle and throw his body around. Keep it the rest of the year!

Some takes I had:

OEL Is a Beast! He might not be the most physical player, but he doesn't take any crap.
I had a defense partner like him once. Guy was a pretty Good skater, and had an alright shot, but other than that nothing special really, but if you wronged him, his wires would cross and he would take you out. I once saw the guy get into a fight where he ripped the other guy's helmet off and beat him to a pulp with the helmet. Kind of remind me of OEL. He just doesn't back down.

I actually didn't think rhino played that well.
He missed the net a few , Lost some board battles, got muscled once and didn't have the greatest footspeed.
Yet he Scored the OT winner with a second left and was name first star of the game. That's just what good players do.

Everyone was shooting blocker side it seemed.
If you look at one of the last Post and ot winner, the goalie was almost holding his blocker parallel to the ice, almost tipped back a bit. If the puck would have hit in the hand, there were almost brokenn his hand because there was no padding in front. Whoever picked up , good on them!

Starman is getting very noticeable out there.
He is 6'3, 190 pounds and only 25 years old. Imagine if he puts on 10 pounds of muscle in the Off-season?.!

He’s a necessary piece. Another is Stenlund, what’s steal. He’s got great hands and plays physical. Really the top concern now that Tkachuk is back to his old form, is Lundell. Having said that, he broke up a lot of plays yesterday, played super on PK, if he had potted one, no one would be complaining… so yeah I think he’s close.

PoMo in his post game said the adjustment he made in the 3rd period was he started matching up Lundell and Stenlund against Kopitar and their Fiala lines to free up Benny and Barkov from expending energy on the defensive end and free them up to try and tie the game.

1. Thats fabulous coaching that ended in a win
2. Props to the bottom 6 for living up to a task, a difficult one at that, that ended in a win.

Thats really awesome that we can match up our top guys against the other team's top guys when tied or ahead and then consequently match up our bottom guys against other team's top guys when behind.
