Hate to say it, but I think being with Step and Hags is reminding him how he plays. They both specialize in that below the hash marks cycle that he does. Ideally, that should be a POTENT 2nd line.

Yeah and I like him away from Nash too. Honestly I think with Nash or any big name star he forces passes and tries to force himself into being a playmaker. I know he has two assists tonight but they both came on Callahan plays: one in the corner and one streaking down the left side. He has to be himself and get them naturally.We saw the same thing when he worked with Gaborik. I think Callahan does better with cycle players as opposed to the "give me the puck and get your popcorn" type superstar players.
