I seriously hope we miss the playoffs this season and Torts gets fired. Better than keeping Torts and getting embarrassed by the Penguins in the first round. This team deserves no playoffs.

Under that same logic Richards, Gaborik, Boyle, and half of the rest of the team didn't deserve to play for the majority of this season...

He's proven he has talent, as other more experienced players in this league have. He needed to show he would have consistent effort, and I agree his first AHL send down was warranted, but everything after has been a mis-allocation of his abilities.

That's not the same logic at all. They're not rookies. They're not in the process of learning the NHL game.

I'm happy that we're winning because of our powerplay. I'm terrified that we're winning because of our powerplay.

Bob Richards, six months later...

Lundqvist needs to come out and play that puck away. Skater was coming from the blueline and didn't get to the puck until the hashes. Should have been an easy play, made hard. Good save, though.

Richards, Gaborik, Boyle and half the rest of the team aren't rookies. They've played in the league, or on the team. They're being looked at to contribute, not develop.

He has talent. He has never put it all together. We're still waiting for the "click".

for what it's worth, he's looked really good with Powe and Ash tonight. He adds some speed and size to that line, there's a good chance they can grind out a goal, and that's what we want him to learn: to use his size, to keep his feet moving, to forecheck hard.
