I've heard some numbers a fair bit higher than that being tossed around in the 97m ball park.

The league wants to do everything possible to give a cup to Edmonton or Toronto… McD needs to get his $17-18 per and leave enough for a goalie and a mediocre Dman.

I was just about to say that it could be the case, because Edmonton needs to pay Mr. McDigInRightNow, Toronto Mitchy and NYR $hesterkin, all at $20+ milli, so I wouldn’t be surpissed at all
