That’s kinda cheap bro.

Kid stood tall for the last stretch, he was over a lot of passengers…

In this kinda game, you can’t give a Panther-killer like Malkin that kind of shot.

He certainly wish he had two back… He also wished Benny and Chucky ended it instead of coughing it, with all the magic they had going tonight.

To question is mental health because of one bad game with two bad goals and two terrible breakdowns… It’s pretty harsh !

Hope Tallas treats him like a number one and gives him Flyers on Thursday so he can appease some about his mental toughness. ;)
It’s not meant as a slight at all. I feel for the kid, but it isn’t just because of this game that he struggles, you see it in other games as well.

It’s unfortunate to lose that way, we deserved a better fate. Am I gonna run Knight out of town? No of course not. Bad game by him, it happens.

The team failed him against Washington, he failed the team tonight. We just gotta hope he will move past this one.

The difference between Knight and Bob is that they shit the bed about the same amount except Knight is the smarter one because he shits it all in single games spread far apart while Bob shits pieces every f***ing game.

i think we're lucky to get a point. we were able to rag-doll their D, sure but we just didn't have the hustle/battle at critical points. lundell lost a race badly on the 1st goal. turnovers by schmidt on the 2nd and lack of back-checking. it's like we thought we're good enough beat them with a half-effort.

there was a shot of knight before OT and i thought "we're done. he's got zero confidence tonight'.

Knight was bad in the first period and in OT. But for a goalie who just saw a shot every 4 minutes, he still was there in key moments over the rest of the game, did not completely falter and gave the team a shot to get a point. Superhard game for him to play, only Brodeur excelled at seeing below-20-shot games on a regular basis.

The major observation though is how bad PIT actually was. We were so much better and they relied completely on their own great goalie, our shacky one and being efficient on the few scoring chances they got.

Moving on, Knighter will get a chance to redeem himself, which he deserves. No need to be hard on him.

Not Knight's fault, they didn't play the best in front of him . I expect a big bounce back effort against Philly .

He was terrible. Much like it certainly wasn't Knight's fault when the Panthers couldn't muster up more than one goal apiece in the two games he started a while back.

Calling it as I see it. Overall, he's been good this season in relief, but last night was atrocious.

Didn’t saw him struggle in his last 4-5 starts, so I don’t really know what you’re talking about… Care to explain or give examples ?

I think it’s one of those intangibles things that we can’t measure, yet people will always go back to that « mental toughness » with him… Because it is so easy to do, and it is so hard to debunk…

That's hyperbole. No way you can blame him for the 2nd and 4th goals. And the 1st goal was a seeing eye shot through traffic by a talented young defenseman. Bob although I love him let's those in regularly. It wasn't his best game, but he wasn't bad. The team was on and off all game. They started off particularly slow.

Hockey gods - I know I said that I'd be ok losing to the Penguins if we mini-swept Carolina. Looking at how bad they are, can we renegotiate?

Thanks hockey gods, I guess? Well, we got a point at least, even if it looked like we deserved a lot more than that...

Feeling sorry for Knight and hope he bounces back against the Flyers. That game was brutal for the kid, and he seemed to have been playing well up until now so hopefully this is just a bad game. My best friend is living with OCD, and it was really debilitating when she was younger before she learnt how to manage it. So I'm routing for Knight at a personal level to show that it's possible to have success in such a pressured environment with a mental disorder.

agree. if you listen to coach, he said it - team didn't look right and he would rather think about knight's last game that criticize this one, suggesting he agrees that knight wasn't great but preferred to have the team shoulder the blame.

the team was on the wrong side of the puck too often (look at the odd-man rushes/goal), lost some key races/battles and knight wasn't great. both things can be true.

Yup, actually that was probably the worst game I've seen all the D play this season, except for Ek.
