See, again, this is what I’m referring to. The Panthers fanbase is in a Perpetual state of victimhood despite being the bullies a lot of the time.

My guy, we got our asses kicked how ever one wants to spin it and Florida, deservingly so has the right to rub it in. That’s the fun part of sports and we just need to take it in stride. Our Oilers went from bottom feeders for over a decade to almost the top of the league hosting two of the leagues most talented players. The ribbing comes with the territory so to speak. You need to mellow and enjoy the summer!!

I’ll admit I have went a bit over the top, overreacted even, but that was a result of certain Panther fans playing victim, being(a bit) intellectually dishonest and manipulating me into a position where I had no choice to defend my narrative and viewpoint.

Trying to walk it back now is humourous at best. Most fans don't have the memory of a goldfish so this new angle is going to be a real hard sell.

First of all, great first post, I would’ve liked it but my like button was(unfairly) taken away for some reason.

I know overreactions are normal, and justifiable in the heat of the moment. I just feel like outright saying you’re “done” with this team if they lost a FINAL is not excusable at all. Plenty of fanbases(Buffalo) don’t even have the privilege of seeing their team in the postseason, and here you guys were last year saying you’d quit if the team lost four in a row… in the finals. Seeing your team compete in the finals itself is a privilege most don’t have.

I'm not a Panthers fan but if my team blows a 3-0 lead in the SCF and loses Game 7, I promise I will be no longer a fan and quit watching the NHL altogether. I've got better things to do than wasting time on things that ruin my mental health.

So perhaps I am not a "real fan" either.

At the end of the day it’s just a game, and we were having healthy discourse. I voiced ideas and perspectives you guys have never been exposed to before, and you guys did the same for me. The more new perspectives are shared here, the better. We don’t want this place to be a hive mind, do we?.
