I’ve honestly like Jones. He has way more qualities than Ekblad in my opinion. Yes the skating is a little scary but he can actually QB a PP.

Jones’ skating looks like one of his best attribute, he walks the line pretty great, closes the gaps, retrieves on play… Okay he can get caught flat-footed sometimes but…

Their production is nearly identical this year but now Seth Jones has Ekblad's spot on the PP, will be interesting to see how Jones will compare going forward.

Have to say that I missed Ekblad. Jones board play just isn't the same. Too many times we were caught stuck in our own end not able to dish the puck out. Ekblad board play just seems better. Jones still better on the exit though.

Jones is like 5 pounds lighter than Ekky… He is no Mikkola lol… Him not looking fat doesn’t make Seth less heavy. When he plays on the board, I even find him heavier and more able to separate his opponent from the play because of positioning and all… Instead of pinning him on the board, and sitting on the puck like Aaron.

yup. no way you pick the guy who produces as much or more offense, plays critical role on the top special teams units and eats 23+ minutes a night, many of which are the hardest matchup minutes. oh, and he did that last year on a cup winner. yeah, no contest - jones all day.
