I liked, especially at the end, he had some physicality to him and made some plays in the second period. A feeling-out process isn’t the right word, but just getting in sync and finding some chemistry. I thought he and (Asplund) built it as the game wore on. Hey Florida, so, Puljujarvi was massively misused in Pittsburgh, he was easily the best bottom 6 player on the team whenever he was given ice time. He played hard, and disrupted so many offensive chances against. His finishing was limited to playing with garbage, but still out produced players who were given time on Geno or Sid's line and powerplay time, of which Puljujarvi received not 1 minute of.

This season is a result of a terrible coach who took a dislike to a player and sand bagged him.

Given a legitimate chance, And being healthy after his hips surgery, I really think you have a steal of a solid contributing player.

He was easily my favorite to watch this season before Sullivan destroyed any and all confidence he had.

I really hope he wins a cup and shits in Sullivan's pillow!!!

Thank you for the info. I’ve been curious about him and if/how he’d make a difference in our lineup. I wasn’t sure if he’s a good addition or not. (I’ve secretly had hopes that somehow Lombo would be traded back, lol)

Hope the best for him. I think he'll fit the locker room well, always happy first guy and thats key part what makes us stronger.

His career was supposed to be over but he has unbelievable work ethic. Didn't really expect anything from him after the double hip surgery, he was absolutely done when he was in Carolina before that. Miraulously he recovered and actually looked really good in limited role while playing with the Pens. I have hard time understanding why he was out of the lineup so much, I know I'm biased but he really looked like their best bottom 6 forward by far. I think his adv stats match the eye test.

What you also need to know about him is that he actually had a good stretch of hockey in late 20-21 and early 21-22. Like a decent top 6 forward kind of play. Then his hips went bust and he couldn't keep his level anymore while playing in considerable pain as he said himself. Gotta be rooting for the guy, there's some potential there.
