Barkov looks even more incredible this season. He is flying out there and is serving up the puck like warm butter with no look passes across the rink to our snipers. Its criminal.
I love that he recognized last after losing to Vegas that he needed to get faster. Let's face it, that series wasnt close. Yes we were being held together by staples at athletic tape, but it wasnt close. Vegas was bigger, maybe not faster, but bigger.

Barkov made the decision he needed to get faster and lost 15 pounds to start and look where it got us. For the first time in his career, he actually got better in the playoffs. Previously, it was only Sam Bennett doing that.

And yeah, this year he looks even faster than before.

If only a certain DMan would recognize that because for all the jokes about him, he is still our best DMan at stuffing zone entries. When he is in position, it is a pain in the dick to enter the zone through his side.

I am never gonna forget McDavid flying in 1 on 1 against Ekblad in Game 7 and he got stuffed with no help from the backcheck.

It was our luck finally turning around, we managed to get the smart Kekalainen, and the ballsy GM Tallon.
Kekäläinen was player coordinator for Tappara when Barkov got drafted, so he was playing under his nose entire year. Interesting story is how Bruins went hard on Panthers and offered Seguin for 2nd overall pick to draft Barkov, but Tallon refused.
