Looks at location, reads post. Shocked.

Seems like the west has an inferiority complex about the east. A lot more shots at the east from western fans than vice versa.
Tampa and Florida have made the east look much better than it really is. There's a reason those two teams have run right through everyone else fairly easily.

Meanwhile the west has 3-4 legit cup contenders every year

They've also run through the winner of the west (and Montreal in that one weird year) fairly easily. Boston was 100% a top cup contender in 22-23, pretending like they're not because they lost by a goal to Florida is hilarious. The idea that because a team wins every year everyone else sucks is ridiculous. Tampa and Florida are damn good.

The east has been full of pretenders. If you can't see that then your bias is showing. Carolina, NYR, Toronto, and even Boston all falter when the going gets tough. Funny enough the only non-Florida/Tampa team to look legit since the Pittsburgh/Washington days was the shitty Isles lmao.

Colorado and Vegas had their way with the east too so idk what your point is there. But at least Dallas and Edmonton (barf) have looked somewhat legit too. Certainly better than the non-florida pretenders in the east

The fact that you think those Isles were legit but the Rangers weren't who had about the same success (2 in 3 rather than 2 in a row, so slightly less) shows me your bias towards a particular type of hockey. It's hilarious. What's weird is that Carolina is a better version of that type of team. They just don't have the goaltending the Islanders did.

Carolina, the same team that gets swept every time they make the ECF, is a better version of the Isles who at least made it a series both times?

At least now I can see where our disconnect is if that's how you evaluate teams
