Wild guess but probably the gross and cringy intermixing of politics with sports.

I don’t think I’ve seen a single post of yours that isn’t contrarian.

Dude thought having a private Twitter meant people wouldn’t see what he was posting
Comparing an NHL hit to what is going on in the Middle East is deranged

Doesn't get feature in the "sexy" owners calendar for next year. What are his "NHL duties" that he's being suspended from?
Yes....and I've learned a long time ago as well....even with email, which you may be sending to one person.....before you hit send, just assume the whole world will see that email and if you are still fine with it, go ahead and send. It's always shocking to me how willing professionals are to make statements like this on the internet, where it will live forever.
He probably sits on a few of the lesser known boardsWhat are his "NHL duties" that he's being suspended from?
This. In the US, if you are strongly for one party or another, and state it publicly, you are going to piss off the 45-50% that didn't vote for your party. A business who wants to appeal to 100% of the public. Don't give them a chance to like you. It's a dumb, unforced, error, similar to what Musk has done.Well let's start with the fact that as a public figure who represents the NHL shield as an owner you're basically advised to be non-political and stay above everything. Going after 1, an entire country whose already been quite vocal at games about the 51st state nonsense and 2, being what looks like actual pro genocide (starve them) and not the fake pro-genocide lobbed around for generally supporting israel. May create issues with advertisers and fans on both sides of the border. Ya know, the people the NHL needs to survive
I think your definition of proportionate reply doesn't jibes with most other people's.Meh, the leafs fan started it. Dont see anything wrong with a proportionate reply.
You should probably get better reading glasses then.Struggling to find anything wrong with his tweets, other than general crassness?

An MTL fan saying this is risking social expulsion from their peers. Thank you for your bravery. When fans and owners of a team are terrible enough that they make you root for the Toronto Maple Leafs, something is definitely very wrong...
I dont disagree with you there. But personally I have no problem with it, because I'm pro free speech. What you say on social media should have no impact professionally. Because with where society is, its become obvious that its fine if you share a political opinion, so long as its the "correct" oneBut he's a part owner of an NHL and the other person is an anonymous twitter nobody. That's all that matters here. And he took the bait in the stupidest way.
