OT: Panthers Lounge the Sixth - We Talk About Games & Stuff

Too funny! I turned on my "do not disturb' after Game 5 and because I never really use it, never remembered to turn it back on. Didn't check the boards until this morning either.

All of my kids are wakeboarders, which is cool because my uncle skied at Sea World Orlando as I grew up. Yesterday was Nationals at Shark Wake Park in West Palm. My oldest took 3rd overall in one event in the pro division while my youngest went 4th overall in his age group.

Amazing watching things come full circle.

Hey everyone, I don't post as often as I used to, but wanted to share a little bit of what's happening in my local roller hockey league in WNC. I moved here from Florida in 2006, and have been in the league since 2009. To reiterate, it's roller but also the only hockey we have in town since ice went away in 2010.

Anyhow, to keep this somewhat brief, our outdoor rink was wrecked due to flooding from Hurricane Helene. One of our board members connected us to the Carolina Hurricanes and it looks like there might be light at the end of the tunnel. We're on the western part of the state, roughly 4 hours from Raleigh, so our relevancy was rarely at play with any NHL team in regards to growing hockey.

I'm sharing a presser where one of our other board members presented our story.

Hey guys! I might be getting a job around the Fort Lauderdale/Davie area and I have never been to Florida in my life. Is there anything I should know about the area? I get that you could make a book of Miami culture in general, but I am a lad who has lived in the mountains for most of my life so I am ignorant when it comes to the Eastern seaboard. And should I worry about hurricanes or are most of them overblown?

Two posts in a row in the Panthers OT thread from Avalanche fans. You boys need to be more social. Although I get not encouraging seph to move to Miami.

Does anyone here know why @SoupyFIN stopped posting - or even why I realise I can't tag him? The account's still there and all the posts are visible. The last I heard from him on Discord was early 2023. I'm surprised he wasn't online at least when you won the cup.

Lounge thread is dead, much like HF's Lounge. No one's heard of him since this, been tagged in discord a couple times but hasn't responded anymore

Where are you posting now? Not sure if [REDACTED] is still active, but obviously Lounge is dead and I never really made the move over to discord, I'm not a fan of the format. Avs lounge? I have less free time than I used to but am still here somewhat.

REDACTED could be many things but if you mean also [The Wire quote or reference] then yes, still going. 11 year anniversary at the end of the month!
