Post-Game Talk: Panthers lose to Canadiens 3-1 in TheImpatientPanther's return

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server
Gotta love when Canadien teams win us it's like there winning the stanley cup. I guess they'll never get closer to it

I gotta say this, it’s a gut feel I’ve had since Bob started here. The feeling got better last year and the year before in stretches, but not constantly.

I’ve never felt confident and secure that Bob won’t let in one or two stinkers every game he plays, especially on the first 5-10 shots. Sometimes he doesn’t, but (without stats to prove anything) my sense is that mostly he does stink it up in the early going. If that’s true, the other team’s game plan is obvious, get shots on goal while crowding the net.

Usually Bob gets better as the game wears on, so the other team is best off getting a couple early, they’ll be easy ones, and then hope to pot one or two more, shooting for fourgoalski. That’s the way to beat the Panthers IMO.

ETA: I’m sure someone’s gonna tell me that Bob could do nothing to stop the first two. I disagree. He was too deep in the net on Laine’s shot. He should know that Patty ain’t passing the f***ing puck when he gets it there on PP, so Bob shoulda moved up. And on Caufield’s shot Bob was way too slow to move to make himself square. It was entirely a stoppable shot. Yeah, the team sucked in front of him but he sucked too. That’s my point.
