The keys to tomorrow's game are:
1. Play tight defence: While Woll was solid, he was rarely tested. By keeping Florida to the outside, and tightening in our own end, they had 0 grade A chances. We must bring the same mentality, and limit giveaways.
2. Shoot more pucks towards the net: Bobrovsky has been great, but last game showed that putting the puck to net can often convert to lucky rebounds and better yet goals. I'd like to see us to shoot more pucks towards the net rather than some of these fancy passes. A hard shot far pad can lead to garbage goals. We don't get style points for pretty goals.

It’s just a home game vs a divisional rival with no implication on anything. No previous outcomes. No future implications. Just win a game and then go down to the next business trip in Miami.

1-4 at home, although I don't think the Leafs were bad in 3 of those losses. A few defensive breakdowns, a couple of soft goals, and unlucky breaks in the offensive zone were the difference overall

Still a mountain to climb but if Matthews can get going and they starting knocking Bob off his game for a game 5 win, suddenly Florida has alot of pressure going back home.

I LOVE Barkov but he's been kind of known to struggle in the playoffs.
Also it's wild but this is the lowest penalty calling series since 2015.
I guess Maurice must have said, guys let's really change things up, and play a totally clean series. Except of course for Bennett mugging Knies, and Gudas driving Kampf through the boards after the whistle, and Bennett and Tkachuk taking cheap shots after Game 4 ended. Yeah, we'll be squeaky clean otherwise.

A blowout win would be nice. We played a lot better in game four but only won by a goal. The boys need to put their stamp on a game.

Shame it took us three losses to learn how to play against Florida. Use the trap! Grind them! Force them into making mistakes and not preying on yours.
IMO we badly outplayed them in game 2, couple of dumb turnovers and miraculous saves from Bob stole that game. Probably should be a 2-2 series but they capitalized on some really dumb mistakes on our part.

I think they did the right thing last night, realizing this isn't going to be high scoring game so let's adapt and play their game. Grind it out and win, if we can only score two against bob, then we will only allow one or less. Wish they were smarter after game 2 though.

I'd take Jarn off then or Kerfoot, whoever Keefe or the coaches prefer. Then split up ROR/Acciari and put Lafferty there with ROR and Acciari with the other person so you have 3 good faceoff people on the PK units. Kampf/Marner only PK unit that's pretty much a threat to bring any offence on the PK.

With Gio playing like 7 mins with 7 D I'd think about going back to 12-6, especially since having all our defenders play their strong side helps so much with the breakout and it's why the Brodie-McCabe pair was so bad imo. Subban gave good examples of it being a problem on the ESPN panel.

His puck movement helps with their forecheck too, night and day from how I feel when Samsonov leaves the net.
Not sure its the time to tinker with those type of changes for a 3rd PP pair, but i expect we'll see him on the PK next year
At some point Bobrovsky’s numbers should naturally stabilize. Dude is literally keeping the Panthers in every game. Is having a .930-.940 SV% sustainable? You would think he’s way over due for a let down game. Pounding 5 or 6 past him tomorrow night would really put Florida under pressure
