Tbf these teams also just don't play exciting hockey against each other. When it comes to xG the first game was a bit above average pace wise while the 2nd game had one team at 2.23 xGF/60 which season wide would rank 28th as a team and the other team and the other at 1.75 which would be by far the worst in the team. It's just bad hockey.
