No that wasn't what I was thinking at all.

My only issue with Bedard was the generational stuff. I think there were a lot of unfair expectations. If he was treated like any other 1st overall I think that it would be ok. When I said I didn't see special I meant like top 10 player of all time special, not compared to the rest of the league special.

Bedard will probably still be a hell of a player and a superstar......but damn does he have no help whatsoever. And his coach was playing him with talent, he was producing and then he puts him with no talent hacks and his production disappears because he's the only threat to score on the ice.

Which 1 OA in the last decade after McDavid were better prospects? I saw a lot of “best prospect since McDavid” not “he’s McDavid”

Remember, devils fans got quite angsty about Hughes for a few years too. He’s going to be a franchise building block, but he needs way more support

It's either a stretch pass resulting in icing, or desperation chip out of the zone.
