Murphy sucks. The idea that he will return anything of value in a trade is f***ing delusional.

The Hawks literally never have the puck. What do you expect him to do?
Cerbral players sometimes just watch a bit. I think he could do a better job moving his feet and being in the play.

But when teams pinch their D we are f***ed. Cannot make a clean breakout pass.

Basically disrespecting this team by how much they’re pinching.

I can’t believe there’s people that watch this team and come to the conclusion that Nazar should be called up and thrown into this mess.

Chasing instant gratification is how you kill rebuilds
I agree, but they have to balance not messing with Bedard's development and other players development.

Bedard is the most important player......and right now they're putting his development at risk.
If they're going to let the kids marinate, they need to start taking more cap dumps and vets that still have something left in the tank. Also make a trade for an established young-ish player that doesn't like his current situation.

Their defensive zone positioning is f***ing awful. They collapse way too low, which leaves the D wide open, and makes breaking out almost impossible.

Right. Which is why you sign complimentary top 6 guys like Bertuzzi and Teravainen to short/medium term deals.

Theoretically, this team has enough talent to create offense somewhat consistently. It’s a bottom 5 roster in the league, but it should not be this anemic and frustrating. A majority of the issues right now are systemic

I have no idea why they haven't tried Bertuzzi with Bedard yet.
Also, do you think they've given up on Bedard at C or is it just temporary to get him going?
