Home from the game...... I'm tired

One thing I have say. Maurice always talks how smart Reinhart is and tonight I expecially saw it the little plays you dont always get to see with TV feed not on him 100%. So many great decisions. When to slow down his game, when to dump, use the boards to his advantage etc

I had a watch party with a few mates to try and get them interested in hockey, and in supporting the Panthers. Have only just managed to kick them out after they drunk all of my booze, kept talking over the game, and scared my cat. The only time they actually paid attention to the game was the fight! Note to self: friends are over-rated and never again try to watch a hockey game with them. You guys here are all I need...

Due to my so-called mates, I missed large chunks of the game, including the second goal where my stream just cut out - sounds like it wasn't just my reception. That all said, I'm very glad of the sweep, particularly for our Finns, although it did feel a lot tighter and nervier than yesterday. Dallas seems like a good team so cross fingers this is the SC Final. With the same outcome, obvs.

Having Reino AND Barkov out there almost seems unfair.

I just watch NFL with a few mates, Hockey is for just for me, although have got one of my mates into it and is now a Philly Flyers as he went Philly this year and loved the place.

Been a great week for us Cats, Barky and Tkachuk back the 3 wins in New York/Buffalo and now taking the 2 against Dallas (nice to watch the game and not need go sleep after)

Just wish Ice Hockey was bigger in the UK and we could get a series here, but wouldn't be fair to the bigger Hockey markets in Europe.

Also, in the Dallas thread, I made the claim that the players treated this like a SCF final game due to it being Barkov city.

The best evidence of this? ERod having 2 goals and 3 points lol
It was like the Super Bowl according to the Finnish president who even visited the locker room after the game.

I do too, but completely agree that the likes of Finland etc would have reason to be pissed off. Saying that, if there is a British NHL player who makes it onto a team/teams in a significant role, they should organise a global series in the UK because I do think there is a large potential market here. And a global series would help grow the game here enormously if they get the right people involved in promoting it.

Quite a few UK Cats fans in here. We should all meet up for a viewing party - say SCF Gm 1 2025?

My cousin knows Liam Kirk pretty well who was drafted by Arizona and got close but didnt break the NHL yet. Currently playing in Berlin

Lived in Philly for years, its a great place and have good buddies who are Flyers fans. Easy to love for Brits (esp if you are from a working class city), not to generalise but they love sports, a drink, and are loud and obnoxious but loyal and genuine people 😂
