Post-Game Talk: Panthers choke away 2-0 lead, lose 4-2 to NYI

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server

A reason why the Panthers finally got to the top. Is because they finally got a normal 6 man defensive unit, with no liabilities (moving the puck like normal, with no grandstanding, and being able to defend). This unit looks like some regression.

We had a normal 6 man unit for like 1 game and then Ekblad got sent to jail. Can’t wait to see it again Game 3 of the 1st round unless someone else gets blown up

The team fell apart for 3 games. That's not Bob's fault. He stole game 1 for us and he was also big in game 7.

You stated he was one of the best at stopping breakaways in the last 3 years or so. I clearly pointed out this wasn't the case in the Stanley Cup finals where he let in an absurd amount of breakaways. His performance in game 1 and 7 doesn't negate this.

Bob letting in breakaway goals is his fault if the measurement is how good is he at stopping breakaway goals lol

Leafs are riding unsustainable goaltending and theyre trying their hardest lol
I don't know about unsustainable goaltending, Stolarz has a 134 game sample size (his entire career) above a .915sv% , with only one season below that playing on the worst team in the league at the time.

Stolarz has always been very good and under the radar(until now) Woll is decent enough.

Either way though, despite all their additions to goaltending and defense, they are still only 16th in GA. An improvement over last year for sure, but not really all that better than previous years.

But I guess we'll see how it works out come playoffs.

Stolarz has been slowing down a lot lately. They had to try and limit his minutes and they didn’t. Woll has come in with some really good performances but the leafs have been getting outshot to hell lately. It’s not a good recipe for success
