But do you think that Subban was white, he would be widely considered the best defence man in the NHL?
Might sound a little silly, but it's starting to sound like the league cannot accept that he is coloured.

Part of me thinks the entire idea of that concept is ridiculous and part of me thinks people still subconsciously do not attribute hockey with black players and it might be true.

No one would ever admit it though so it's all speculative.
