Post-Game Talk: Panthers beat Pens by a skate edge, 4-3 in a shootout

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

We all agree ours is better at full strength right? And we don’t even have the best lol

Interesting bit from Paul regarding Seth. He basically said it will take Seth a year to get him up to his full potential here. So we’re going to have beast Jones at this time next season.

Can we get a couple AHL level dmen at least... I dont think Ballsack and Brainrot could even play in Finland

When Bob's career is over, only then will we realize what an all-time legend we had. Greatest Panthers goalie ever. Going to be difficult to replace him. Between him and Barkov, you did good, Dale. 👍
i still like luongo over bob, just for how much that dude carried some absolutely putrid teams

He put up some nice save percentages, but those numbers were certainly benefitted by Reboundo giving up 2nd, 3rd and 4th chances. He routinely gave up goals in the dying seconds to allow opponents to tie a game up or take the lead. Never won a playoff series. Never won anything of consequence with the Panthers. Never took home a Vezina in his career. Not clutch in any way. Bob gives up bad goals often, but is unflappable when it happens. Lu wore his emotions on his sleeves and wouldnt completely unwind. Roberto is a good guy, loves this franchise and collected alot of meaningless regular season wins over time, but he himself was a big reason the Panthers never accomplished anything during his time here.

Jones has been good. I wasn't keen on trading for his contract, but if we didn't have him right now, this team would be completely sunk. The third pair was basically unplayable last night. Jones playing well and being a horse who can play a lot of minutes to keep the disaster pair off the ice is going to be very, very needed over the next 12 games.

Lu will always be my number 1 because I grew up watching him and he's the last Panthers player I could say I kind of idolized and not feel weird about it because he's older than me. Those were some awful years when he was at his peak and he was the main reason for me to watch a lot of times. Plus he was sort of homegrown, and then how he came back after his time with the Canucks, helped revive the franchise, and is still a bit part of the club. Hard to beat that sentiment.

But...there is no disputing that Bob is the most successful goalie this franchise has seen and there may be more to come. I really admire his work ethic and how he worked through his initial issues, that's more important than just talent.

thats exactly how it is for me

Shitting on Luongo is completely ridiculous and is up there for me in ridiculousness when people shit on Campbell.

Name me the best roster Luongo played with? Even with the playoff team we had that outplayed the Islanders was a negative possession team.

Verhaeghe Barkov Reinhart
Rodrigues Bennett Tkachuk
Luostarinen Lundell Tarasenko
Lomberg Stenlund Okposo

Forsling Ekblad
Mikkola Montour
OEL Kulikov

Huberdeau Barkov Jagr
Smith Trocheck Jokinen
Hudler MacKenzie Purcell
Garrett Wilson - Logan Shaw - Shawn Thornton

Campbell Ekblad
Matheson Gudbranson
Kulikov Petrovic

I mean get a grip. If we ran with that roster today for 82 games.....FinlandPanther wouldn't see the next sunlight

The worst team Bobrovsky played with in Florida (The one that lost in the play-in) is arguably better than the BEST team Luongo played with in Florida.

I wouldnt call my words shitting on Lu. I just dont sugarcoat what I saw. He put up a nice save percentage, aided by his poor rebound control, and then allowed his agent, Gilles Lupien, to orchestrate his exit, yet acted as if he was blindsided. He's a good guy and probably realizes that forcing his departure was a mistake, but he is more a Canuck than a Panther as his time with the Panthers was largely meaningless. Happy he works for the Panthers and makes his life here, though, but not spending his entire career with Florida is his own doing.

This so incorrect lol

feel free to listen. It was all Mike Keenan. And Mike Keenan deserves zero benefits of doubt.
