What This Means for You:
Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.
In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord ServerThat contract is already expiring? Damn I remember when it was signed and thought it would never end but it has aged surprisingly well after a rocky start.
Yeah I know. It's just a marvel to me that we are at the point of potentially negotiating an extension for Bob.No he has one year left. NHL and NHLPA may send a reminder to the Florida that according the CBA a new contract can not be discussed until July 1st 2025. He current contract expires July 1 2026.
If teams could already start discussing? This board would be filled with threads about McDavid not resigning with the oilers. July 2nd 2025 I expect the entire board to be filled with threads speculating he wont sign with the oilers
I’d be worried about that 8th year if I was the Panthers. But whatever it takes, just get it done.I think the Panthers owe him 8 x $5M AAV so if he retires he still gets paid. Also gives them wiggle room for more contract extensions.
My Guess is 4 years since that will take him till 40, 5-6M
That would be a 3 year extension, since Bobrovsky still has one year left at the $10M/year cap hit.
Crazy to see this contract work out pretty much the whole duration. Everyone assumed this contract was going to age horribly but instead it worked out fantastically
Bob's going to be the Mayor of Miami when he retires, isn't he ?
Goalies are voodoo so if you have a guy you can count on in the playoffs, it makes sense to ride him until the wheels fall off.
Shouldn’t be too hard to get a better/more potential backup than Vanecek. Hell, with how weird it is trying to draft and develop hotshot goalie prospects, it wouldn’t surprise me at the end of the day if an unheralded guy nobody knows exists, like Cooper Black, an undrafted college UFA signing, develops into the next guy up.
If Bob chooses to retire they can just pay him.I’d be worried about that 8th year if I was the Panthers. But whatever it takes, just get it done.
Price's contract is up after next season, so the Panthers are free to pay him more. He’s not getting more than Carey Price
