That was real Panther hockey last night. Puck support was off the charts. The whole team was rocksolid, neverthelesd Ek, Bob, MT and Samo deserve special mention IMO, as does the 4th line as a whole - even though the did not score, they were excellent on the forecheck and defensively - and the Barkov and Lundell line - they were all so good at cycling the puck in the OZ

Have to admit I'm really impressed with Mikkola/this front office finding these under the radar guys.

Comes in here, pairs well with Montour in the top 4. Montour leaves, and Niko still plays very well. Wasn't just riding the coattails of Montour here.

The fact we got him for 2.5mil AAV is just great value.

They signed Kuli for 4 lol, Ek is way more effective and much younger.

Well to be fair Kulikov is signed for crazy cheap money to be a bottom pair guy. Ek’s skating is a huge concern going forward. Although he has looked better this year.

Bring on the hate but Ekblad is playing some great hockey right now. He's carrying this defense along with Forsling. He still can't skate but damn is he doing well with what he has.

If we're looking at replacements for Bob moving forward, I'd love if Zito took a look at Karel Vejmelka. Been impressed with his game from the beginning and I think he's turning into a solid goaltender.

I think Ekblad has to sign for the max term given his injury history and age. He would be stupid not to.

I don’t think the team is going to offer max term and I’m sure it’s probably going to be cheaper than his contract now.
