The Jets put forward likely their best effort of the season against Dallas, followed it with a solid game against the Rangers, and then I guess Arniel approved their time off requests for the Tampa and Florida games.

This was a brain fart filled, meh effort that was nothing if not pedestrian en masse. Nobody on the Jets seemed like they were focused or even interested in this game.

We've seen it before, we'll see it again.

I am expecting them to snap out of it on Tuesday.

Next.

Just called the league, we did in fact not lose any of the points we previously had from that loss, I can see why this forum is becoming less and less active...
I am confused I thought the argument a couple of weeks ago was that this forum is less active when the Jets win and more active when the Jets lose? 🧐

Yet we came off of the Tampa game loss PGT which was the least active PGT of the entire season. Just seeking clarification to keep the narratives straight.

Looked the team was spending too much time golfing on their business trip.

Let’s see what the Jets can do in the rematch.

We faced 2 tough matchups in Florida. Bolts had close to a week off and the Panthers were in a bit of a losing skid. If we lose 5-0 again on Tuesday I’ll have flashbacks from the back to back losses to the Caps way back.

All three on the panel said it was an unnecessary hit at that point of the game and that Pionk had an "intent" on that hit. Okay, so what?
A clean hit is never unnecessary at any point in a game. Was Pionk frustrated and maybe put a little extra into that hit? Probably, but again, so what? The player was eligible to be hit, the hit was not illegal and there's plenty of times where a player puts a little extra into a straight up hit in open ice or along the boards when they are losing at the end of a game.

The visceral impact of the hit should have no bearing on whether it was needed or not.

100% last season that was the case, it's almost like people decided to stop coming around here for some reason...

There's a reason the Panthers are defending champs
Did you see the Panthers last 2 games?
Bro got pulled his last game down 5-1 and the Panthers lost 6-2 their last game.
I’ll not calling down the Panthers they are a good team but I’m just pointing out they just finished playing 2 bad games too.

DeMelo's struggles continue, but there were a lot of Jets having problems. Relentless forechecks are Jets Kryptonite. If they can't figure out a way to break out then they're up the creek. Jets were unable to establish a lot of forecheck pressure of their own but the wheels came right off in the 2nd.

Please Understand
As far as measuring stick games though, this was a good measure of where the Jets sit. The reigning Stanley Cup champs had no issue with the Jets. Their game completely eviscerated everything they tried to do. Puck management remains an issue.

We fixed the problem by shining a light on it. That's usually how it works
