IF he’d be willing to waive to Edmonton (maybe if he’s cup motivated):

To NYR: Jeff Skinner, Matt Savoie, Beau Akey, 2025 2nd (STL), 2026 1st (EDM)

To CHI: 2025 3rd (STL)

To EDM: Panarin 75% retained

Not sure if Skinner would waive for NYR, maybe requires a separate trade that sends Skinnner to TOR.

But my gawd the forward lineup once healthy:

Nuge-McDavid-Hyman
Panarin-Draisaitl-Arvidsson
Kane-Henrique-Janmark
Podkolzin-???(upgrade)-Brown
XF: Perry, Kapanen
That offer is horrendous for the rangers and I’m a devils fan. I think you have to add at least another first for the rangers to consider it.

Unfortunately, Ottawa doesn't really have anyone realistic that moves the needle for the Ranger, outside of Pinto.
1. until recent team meltdown, nyc seemed best, think he is a recent father.
Howev, may be willing to relocate now rather than a yr hence
Rs not going to extend him anywhere near what he gets elsewhere, so a polite agreement on a trade works, only ? is when

2. Would you consider Fox + bread BOTH retained for Sanderson?

I love Sanderson, but a top-5 winger and a top-5 Dman is nearly impossible to say no to if the cap can be made to work.

NYR wouldnt offer this though IMO

Sandy is 8mil + 50k per
half of Fox 9.5 = 4.75
bread is hair over 11.6, say that is 5.6 retained thus season + next = 6 cap hit
That's 10.75 vs a shade over 8m
say a dif of 2.75
what would cover that?

Forsberg for a 7th?
do you have a back up w/yr current 5.6+ cap?
if no we could throw in Quick if he does a favor a stop gap for this yr
and give his slot to Garand

Gavrikov would need to work out an extension before the trade happens. Felt that NYR would be a good landing spot for him.

Was thinking about this last week, when NYR rebounding looked more likely. They still could rebound. None of the other teams fighting for the wildcard spot are very good. LA won't be in a position to move him until Doughty is back. Which may be too long.

Has the GM criticized Panarin's lack of playoff production in the past or was that fans & media?

Not 100% sold on the GM going into a rebuild. That may cost him his job. A very quick retool like Washington pulled last Summer is going to be his preferred option. Wether it's possible is another question.

The King's should probably be rebuilding too, but here we are blowing assets for first round exits.
Just stop. If the rangers are trading Panarin they aren't trading for a pending UFA that they need to sign. Just stop

Gavrikov has been playing on the right filling in for Doughty all season. Doughty is due back in the next month or so. When that happens the pairs are going to be jumbled up. Moving Gavrikov could be possible then.

King's also let Roy walk UFA last year & won one playoff game. First priority is re-signing Gavrikov. Until that contract is signed though.
Who in their right mind moves a proven player for a 35 year old? You keep Gavrikov at all costs.
