Wasted talent as she got in her own way over and over again. The back stage stories make her the most immature person. But she's young... so she's probably dumb.

I have always recalled this quote from JR
“Amazing how when people ask an opinion of a NXT talent and I provide it, then it becomes a manure storm on Twitter because I merely expressed how I felt per their question. Amazing times that we live in, right? I was asked if NXT’s Paige was ready for the next level and I simply said ‘No’ because she was only 20 years old and needed more time in development before being elevated to the main roster. One can’t even rent a car in the USA until they are 25 and, no, I’m not suggesting that the talented Paige will be in development for that length of time. Point is, I am of the belief that 20 year olds don’t belong on the main roster unless it’s a rare exception.”

The Diva XXX IWC must be in shambles now. Where will they get their fix of paige now? :sarcasm:

This is really stupid, though. Pissing away talent because they couldn't stand who she wanted to bang behind closed doors.

That's a thing? What have I been doing here then?

Beyond disappointed. My personal favorite of the women and the most talented of the bunch (best looking too but that's besides the point).

Was she too immature? Maybe, but the company having an issue with who people are dating is just ridiculous.

Hope she comes back on the future.

Semi-related, Alberto Del Rio called Mark Carrano when it came out that he was harassing them and threatened to fire Paige if she didn't break up with ADR and Carrano went silent during the conversation.

Vince and co is very high on Charlotte, Sasha and Bayley (hopefully Becky but more to that in a moment) No way she was gonna be top diva again, maybe could have had a smaller main role, most likely as heel, but right now she was in the shadows.

Maybe if she had gone to SD she could have had a bigger role and prospered but oh well.

Bye Paige. Doesn’t bother me none. Charlotte is bae.

Seth is male bae, gosh he’s pretty darn good looking… (since we’re on the guy discussion)

well if it's true that the company tried to interfere in her relationship, she should win any legal matter pretty easily.

Anyways the girl has some issues to deal with, she is very young and been on the road for a while, it's easy to fall into traps. People get mad at WWE not using people the way they want, but there is also stuff that goes on that we are not privy to, that they are, and if they are hearing bad reports of her habits they are not putting the machine behind her it's too high risk

Right.

Also, I don't know how things are done wrt total divas, but doing that show absolutely killed her cred. I know I didn't really care much anymore. You're presented as the anti-diva, endorsed once by the ultimate anti-diva when AJ was there and then do a 'reality' show where all the women wrestlers on it are made out to be as catty as humanly possible. It's like they did as much as they could to make her a star and everything they did directly opposed that objective.

I'm happy it's turned out this way.

Paige has achieved what she could in the WWE and was clearly an afterthought within 2 years on the roster, there was nothing for her in the WWE anyway. She's young enough to do anything else she wants, good for her. And she got out of the environment where someone tries to interfere with her personal life.

Maybe the WWE will learn a couple of things as well. Like not giving a wrestler a career in 3 months (and what the hell would a woman do after being a 2-time champion at 21?) and that come characters can be damaged by reality shows. Oh, and after Rusev-Lana and now this, maybe they'll hesitate before trying to interfere in people's relationships.

I swear to god if they remove her from WWE 2k17 over this I'm going to be pissed.

Game goes live in a month. Too late at this point.

Mysterio and even Punk were left in despite their tension with the company. Paige likely will be too.

Some of her interviews defending the term diva while fans were ready for the horsewomen to trash the butterfly belt didn't help that either.

She has a legal team so they don't try to Mysterio her and "freeze" her contract until she comes back to work and finish it off.
The legal team might have something to do with this as well:

"Mark Carrano, who fans might know from Total Divas, kind of like the office liaison guy, approached Del Rio and Paige individually and harassed each of them about their relationship. It was indicated that the office wanted them to sever their romantic relationship."

MSL went on to say that WWE threatened to fire Paige if she did not split up with Del Rio. He said:

"A lot of people speculated if this was the reason [WWE] split them up in the draft and that's definitely what happened. The company did not want them together. They split them up in the draft by design and they threatened to fire Paige if she didn't break up with Del Rio."
