Buffalo should be all over it. Byram + 1st + a prospec (perhaps less, Byram is a better centerpiece - and certainly not a 1sr without some protection, but as a framework. Could be a 2nd and a prospect. A protected 1st. 1st conditional on an extension… idk, or care. Conceptually there’s a good fit Buffalo should be looking into).

Byram is from Calgary. Andersson pairs with Dahlin and makes the Rasmus squared pair while balancing out Buffalo’s pairs a bit. Find a physical defense first #4 type to pair with Power, keep Samuelsson and Clifton on the third pair and you’re in business.

-1st round pick, 3rd round pick, Hoglander, Raty, Desharnais

I believe Flames are stacked at D prospects but they need C. Raty's ceiling imo is very simlar to Backlund's game. Desharnais is to make the cap work.

Which high end piece forward is available?

its not going to be a high end piece Dman for Rasmus cuz thats just a lateral move.

Zegras? CGY needs a Centre badly.

Maybe Sillenger from CBJ?

High end would be tough to get for 1.5 yrs of Andersson.

Every single fan of a team with a guy in the rumour mill says this and expects this, and it basically NEVER happens.

Virtually NEVER does the seller get to demand quality, or package for a single stud piece.

Everyone expects top 25 prospects, or even top 50 prospects around the league, but those guys simply don't get moved.

Well, no.

When we were trading half our team last year, we were in full expectation of just getting a bunch of future assets. However based on the fact that Calgary moved 5-6 players in the last 400 days all for futures packages; I just don’t think Calgary will run at the opportunity to get a 26th overall a C-tier prospect and some cap dump for a defender with 1.5 years left on their deal.

I think a larger deal.
I think Zegras. Sillenger, EP would all be guys in larger framework deals Calgary would move Rasmus in.
