I like the Kings in this series this year, especially because they'll have home ice, they've had an incredible second half, not sure everyone knows they're an impressive 31-5-4 at home, Kuemper is having a great season, and Oilers just lost Ekholm for the year and are running Pickard or Skinner in net. If they can't get it done this year it's never happening.

The least confident I've ever been in winning this matchup as an Oiler fan.

McDavid, Draisaitl, Kane, Frederic, Hyman, RNH

Ekholm, Walman, Klingberg

Skinner

All of these guys have been injured/sick of late, and with the Oilers its often seemed like being sick is actually code for being injured? Most reportedly will be ready for the playoffs, but their durability/effectiveness is certainly going to be a question. Ekholm is seemingly done for the season which is a massive blow for the Oilers backend.

Obviously I'm pulling for an Oilers win. But this just doesn't feel like the Oilers year to go on a deep run.

Ah well. Oilers in 7

Best of luck to the Kings fans as always. Your guys' fanbase is always the best of the bunch.

Powerplay goals in the series last year were like 10 or 11 to 1 in favour of the Oilers. If the Kings can close that gap (big BIG "if" ) , they'll win. They were better 5v5 last year and in each of the previous two series as well.

Would love for the series to end with Corey Perry staring off into space in the penalty box. For old times sake.

Kings fans know by now to hope for the best, but to expect the worst.

If the Oilers can any power play time, they’re doomed. The Oilers have had their way with the Kings on special teams play and they lit up their shitty goaltenders the last two years in Korpisalo and Talbot.

Kuemper is better than those bums, but I’m not sure if he’ll make up for the Kings and their inefficiencies against Edmonton.

Probably the first time they have played where the Oilers are the true underdog in their current state. Think this year LA takes it
