Why the heck would P.K Subban worry about term security at his age?

Wouldn't make sense.

Makes perfect sense.

1. Guaranteed money is always good

2. PK could easily be seriously injured/hampered in any short-term contract

Opposing players (Lucic, Horton, etc.) would LOVE to drive him into the boards and hurt him bad.

Its the truth.

Good lord! If he is this hard to sign now just think what it will be like next time. All things considered? I'd trade him at this point.

Did you guys just hear what Tony said on TSN 690? Said that last year the vets had issues with Subban's attitude and that there will probably be some resentment when he comes back because the "popular" Gomez was essentially sent home to make room for Subban's contract.

They are on both different directions i think... if not why in the world would they jeopardize a training camp... im starting to believe subban will miss at least 5 games this year.. if not more..

Off course there will be resentment... but nothing to do with Gomez... if players think that for a second they are really Pejorative Slured. All nhl teams would buy him out. Gomez was a bum of a player for the cash he was making. I couldnt care less if he received it... he wanted it. Got payed and was not worth 1/10 of it... if players are putting the blame on subban maybe they should trade those morons.

Jets STH here...... just curious..... what kind a cash is PK looking for and what are the Habs offering?

If he doesn't sign by Saturday does that mean he doesn't play?

FWIW...... I'm calling Galchenyuk for the Calder this year.

At this point maybe we should change tank to submarine... cause we will be deeper than a tank without him lol

Thats a very bold prediction. It would mean he had a faboulous year... there is plenty of high end competition this year.

Tony Marinaro is running out of things to say I think. His extremely limited knowledge of hockey shines through with each passing sentence.

Somehow? I don't like the guy either but he IS an insider. Probably has Meehan on speed dial.

You don't seriously believe this do you ?

There is NO way in hell that Meehan devulges any info related to these negociations.

The only way he would get info would be through Subban himself or someone close to PK...and that ain't hapenning.

Agent Don Meehan tells @JSportsnet on FAN590 Toronto, he and #Habs are "not close" on a deal for PK Subban.

Either it's not true or the Habs have turned into whiney babies. I wouldn't discount either choice. LOL

Meehan was just asked if Subban would be in the lineup for Saturday. His response was one of definite hesitation. Said its unlikely. Urgh

Cmon people Meehan is just playing his role to a TEE.

PK will be in uniform on the weekend.

Good news is everyone is healthy. Let one of the kids play then and have Commodore and Bouillon pick up the slack.

Subban's agent is on HockeyCentral at Noon now and he is hopeful but doubts that Subban will be able to have an agreement signed in time for Subban to suit up for the Hab's first game.

This is one of the more confused rants I've read in a while and as long as you think OEL is a decent return there isn't much for the two of to talk about.

OEL is a good return, not enough for PK though, not at this point. But he is not getting traded so what's the point of discussing this?

You don't trade PK, you freaking sign him, even if it means dishing out more cash.

I'll be extremely disappointed if management decides to stand their ground against PK but have no problem giving 4 years at 2.5M for Brandon freaking Prust.

There was nothing confusing about that ''rant''. It was very clear. What seemed to be the confusion exactly?
