The talent evaluation of this organization truly is at an worrying level..

I mean here's a guy who's 6-3, 220 lbs natural center with the ability to produce 0.4 PPG while playing in the bottom-six. Still young, too. Why didn't the organization consider him a part of the future but instead insists on playing Michael f***ing McCarron who's going to be run out of the league in a year or two?

Not even shocked at this one. I wanted Parssinen to be a player on this team, but the writing has been on the wall.

I guess in a vacuum we traded up two 7ths for a 3rd. So that lottery ticket exists, but even a 3rd doesn't have great odds to play 100 NHL games and Parsinen has already proven himself of that much.

Another player doing backflips, or a shoulder shrug, after hearing that they're no longer a Pred.

I'm happy for Juuso. Hope they give him a real shot. Other than MacKinnon, their Cs aren't deep. I assume they're hoping he pushes Colton down to 4th line.

Our team is in for years of pain. Hopefully, the next GM knows how to build a roster.
He'll probably be 3c now that it seems Colton will be 2nd line wing

I expect that if the team continues to struggle, Trotz will follow through on his threat and start hemorrhaging more players off the 3rd and 4th lines to improve the team chemistry and win now.

Full strength, 4th line with quality line-mates I'd say:

Drouin - Mackinnon - Rantanen
Lehkonen - Middlestadt - Nichushkin
Landeskog - Colton - O'Connor
Wood - Parssinen - Kiviranta

With mountains of depth

Well we keep prioritizing older players over young talent even in the bottom 6. Instead of having Pärssinen or Tomasino, this group would rather have the dime a dozen group of Jankowski, Smith, McCarron. Instead of giving Novak, svechkov, or Pärssinen a legit shot as a 2C, wed rather elevate sissons there and keep at it even when it doesnt work. When Nyquist continued to screw up, he was left alone. Meanwhile, Tomasino and the others are just yanked around. Old players get nearly unlimited rope. Hinostroza is the next player in the parade of old timers

Near where sand and waves meet.
OUT: Fabbro, Carrier, Tomasino, Wedgewood, Pässininen, 7th rounder in 2026 (all players signed by Trotz during 2024).

The return: Annunen, Barron, Pavel (AHLer), 6th in 2025, 3rd and 4th rounders in 2027.

Five members of the opening night roster for maybe two return players on the roster, a late pick this coming draft, two mid round picks three drafts away.
