Yes, and to better reflect the abstract, instead of an own goal counting as 1 for the other team, it counts as -1 against your team. It would be fun to be able to say something like “we won 0 to -2,” wouldn’t it?

Fun but would take a lot of getting used to ....Lol.....

Getting back to what i asked you about a few months ago .......There's already so many columns anyway that what's the difference if you expand the statsheet/metrics chart a bit ? Not saying i'm strongly for or against it but it really wouldn't do much harm.......

Depends on how “official” you want to make it, since unofficially people do it all the time right here on HF otherwise we wouldn’t have thousands of posts disparaging players like Nikita Kucherov or Nathan MacKinnon for being so-called “empty net merchants.”

If made totally official it would be a good differentiator.........Would probably be too bold to break away from traditional score keeping though....Would have to take into account plus minus and assists with empty net goals too.....

Probably best left to be noted on certain sites but not be made official....

This is probably my favourite own goal of all-time.

Like the announcer said, I don't think the Canadiens even had any players in the offensive zone when the puck crossed the line lol
